2005-2006 (Freshman): In 2006, Davis was the Saints starting third baseman in 57-of-60 games and also played in all 32 Jayhawk West Conference games. Davis was one of only two freshmen in the conference to be named First Team Jayhawk West All-Conference (3B). The switch-hitting Davis had a breakout freshman season batting .311 (56-for-180) and led the Saints with nine home runs and 29 walks. Davis was second on the team in runs scored (43), triples (5), RBI (43) and slugging percentage (.578 %) and pounded out a team-high six home runs in Jayhawk West games with 27 RBI. Davis led all SCCC players with 17 extra base hits in conference play. Davis recorded multi-hits in 14 games with four games posting three base hits. Davis tallied a seven game hitting streak from March 13-March 20, where he went 8-for-24 at the plate. Davis hit at least one home run off five Jayhawk West Conference teams including Cloud County twice. Davis helped lead the Saints in the Region VI Tournament accounting for three multi-hit games. Davis began his Seward County career with a bang going 2-for-4 with two runs scored, one RBI and hitting his first collegiate home run in an 8-4 loss at Clarendon College (02/20/06). Later that week, Davis recorded his only multi home run game of the season hitting two home runs and going 2-for-3 with four RBI in a 10-0 win at home against N.E. Colorado (02/26/06). Davis continued with a hot bat against Clarendon going 3-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI in the Saints 9-6 victory (03/01/06). Davis finished the Saints Arizona Spring Trip with a 3-for-5 performance with a wood bat against Chandler Gilbert C.C. (03/23/06). Davis improved his batting average to .329 with a 2-for-4 outing with two runs scored, a home run and three RBI in a 12-5 victory over Cloud County in Liberal (03/26/06).  Davis continued his hot hitting against Cloud County going 3-for-5 with two runs scored, a home run and three RBI in a 15-8 victory in Concordia (04/11/06). Davis chipped in three hits going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a triple, home run and three RBI in a blow out victory over Dodge City C.C. (04/15/06). In a doubleheader in El Dorado , Davis went 3-for-6 with two runs scored, two doubles and one RBI in a pair of Saints losses (04/19/06). Davis had back-to-back two hit performances in the Region VI Tournament in Wichita with 2-for-4 games against Butler C.C. and Coffeyville C.C. (05/08/06). Davis pitched in four games for the Saints receiving one win and five strikeouts in eight innings on the mound. Davis played this last summer with the Liberal Bee Jays in the Jayhawk League. Davis helped lead the Bee Jays to the NBC World Series with a 1-2 National Tournament record. In addition, Davis was named to the Fall 2005 Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
