The defending Region VI champions were led by Marvin Lee, who scored 27 points (19 in the first half) and recorded 10 rebounds and DeAngelo Lee, who scored 24 points (15 in the second half) with a team-high 11 rebounds.

The Saints (15-2, 1-2) got out to an early 15-9 lead, but would soon see the Beavers run past them as Pratt (13-4, 2-1) went on a 12-0 run, taking the lead from the Saints and keeping the lead safe until midway through the second-half.

Seward County would rally in the second stanza tying the game with 10 minutes left in the game. Seward County power forward, Keith Spencer, got into foul trouble early in the game and would be limited to just 17 minutes played while scoring 11 points and grabbing six rebounds.

Joining Spencer in foul trouble was starting small forward, Theron Wilson, who also fouled out scoring eight points on a tough 4-for-17 shooting performance from the field.

The Saints struggled at the free throw line shooting just 55 percent (18-for-33) from the charity stripe. The Pratt Beavers shot well from the floor hitting 53 percent of their field goal attempts (30-for-57).

Seward County was led by sophomore, pre-season All-American Adam Tanner, who had 20 points (6-for-12 field goals), seven rebounds and four blocks. Tanner also shot 8-for-12 from the free-throw line.

The Saints will be on the road this Sunday, Jan. 15 at 4:00 p.m. against the Colby Community College Trojans, who upset Barton County 88-86, in Colby, on Wednesday night.
