On Friday night against
Trinidad
State
, Saints power forward, Keith Spencer, got in foul trouble early and was only able to play 24 minutes. Saints starting center, Adam Tanner, picked up the slack grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds and completing his double-double with 15 points. Tanner was joined in double-figures scoring by Jerrell Green (14 points), Michael Tyree (13 points), Brandon Cornwell (12 points), Theron Wilson (12 points) and Spencer (10 points).
The Trojans didn’t help themselves committing 26 personal fouls and allowing the Saints to shoot 40 free-throws.
Saturday night, the Saints trailed Clarendon 45-43 at half-time, and saw Tanner with only one first half point. The second-half was a different story as Tanner and the Saints took control early in the second 20-minute frame. Tanner scored 18 second-half points and Spencer grabbed a team-high 15 rebounds (15 points) to lift the Saints to an 11 point victory over the Bulldogs.
The Saints 11 point victory could have been a blow-out, but

County
had a rough night at the charity stripe shooting just 55 % from the free-throw line (30-for-55).
Green paced the Saints back-court with 14 points, five assists, three rebounds and one steal. Green is now averaging 9.9 points, 4.4 assists, 3.2 steals and 2.0 rebounds per game this season.
The Saints played well on defensive holding Clarendon to just 78 points. The Bulldogs are a team who are used to scoring over 100 points per game. Twice this year the Bulldogs have scored over 150 points.
No. 25 Seward County will have three games this coming week on the road as they travel to Kansas Newman University J.V. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and then play Lamar and Sterling J.V. in the Dodge City Classic on Nov. 25-26. The Saints have already defeated Lamar (75-57) and Sterling J.V. (100-51) this season.
