SEWARD
COUNTY
SAINTS JAYHAWK SHOOTOUT PREVIEW
The No. 9 Seward County Community College men’s basketball team is set to compete in the 2005 Jayhawk Shootout, Friday and Saturday in
Coffeyville
,
KS
.
Seward
County
will open the Shootout on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. against Allen County C.C. and will then play Fort Scott C.C. at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The Jayhawk Shootout is a premier junior college basketball venue where four-year (college & universities) coaches come and recruit freshman and sophomore players. There will typically be around 150 four-year coaches in attendance throughout the weekend. The Jayhawk Shootout format matches-up Jayhawk West schools verses Jayhawk East schools. This setting allows Region VI coaches to evaluate teams that are normally to far in proximity to go scout on a regular basis and get an up-close look early in the season at the teams they will try and beat in the Region VI Tournament in March.
