THE COACHES: Brian Hoberecht coaches Dodge City , and in his seventh season he is 128-74 overall. Dave Brown continues his 11th season as head coach at Seward County (245-94).

ABOUT THE CONQUISTADORS: The Conquistadors are proving that once again they will be a force in the Jayhawk West Conference. Last season, Dodge City finished as Co-Conference Champions, this season they are one-of-four programs in the conference who are unbeaten or have only one loss. Dodge City is led by Street & Smith Magazine Pre-Season First Team All-American, Charlie Coley, who is a standout athlete who leads the Region VI in blocked shots (4.2) and averages 13 points and 10 rebounds a game.

ABOUT THE SAINTS: The Saints have lost three-of-four games heading into conference play, including their last two home contests. Saints sophomore Theron Wilson has been the top-player in the Region VI during the non-conference season. Wilson leads the 19-school region in scoring (25.3) and rebounding (12.5). The Saints, who lead the Region VI in 3-point field goals (123), are shooting only 28 percent from long range during their last four games. A staggering decline in shooting compared to 38 percent shooting during the opening nine games of the season.
