fought an uphill battle last Sunday afternoon at
Pratt
Community College
. The Saints trailed 50-38 at halftime, after Pratt shot 56 percent from the field in the first-half. The Saints were down by as many as 19 points, but cut the deficit to three points within two minutes to play. Pratt held on to the victory and
Seward
County
lost their fourth consecutive road game, 88-84 at the Beaver Dome.
Michael Tyree led a pack of double-figure scorers with 21 points.
Seward
County
shot a season-high 90 percent from the field (35-for-39) with every player making all of their free throws except Theron Wilson (10-for-14) who recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. The Saints 90 percent shooting effort is the best of any Region VI team this season with more than 12 attempts in a single-game.

’s last victory on the road came at Newman University J.V. 111-75, on Nov. 22, in the non-conference schedule.
It wasn’t pretty for the Trojans in the first-half in their match-up with

last Saturday night in the

. Colby was held to 18 percent shooting (6-for-34) from the field in the first-half, and trailed 41-18 at halftime. Colby came alive in the second-half outscoring the No. 7 ranked Cougars 47-32, despite dropping the game 73-65. Colby’s leading scorer this season, Jorge Canedo, led the Trojans in scoring with 21 points. Colby hit seven three-point buckets in the second-half and was led by Irvan Meyers (5 three-point field goals) who scored 15 points, all coming in the second-half.
The Trojans have beat the Saints in six of their last eight meetings. Colby has won five straight over the Saints in the
