didn’t waste time taking the lead with a 10-0 run to start the game. Burns made a three-pointer and a lay-up, Hank Harris hit a three-point shot and Michael Tyree drained two free throws to give the Saints the early advantage.
Butler
then countered with a 13-3 run to tie the score at 13.
The Saints led by as many as six points in the first-half and went into halftime with a 34-32 lead after Burns hit a three-pointer at the horn to end the first-half.
The second-half was an offensive battle between the two Jayhawk West foes, with the Saints and Grizzlies trading baskets for most of the half. With the Saints leading 52-49, and 12:04 remaining in the contest, Cohadarevic took over the game for
Seward
County
. The 6-foot-9-inch forward proceeded to score 10 of the Saints next 12 points, with two 3-pointers, a lay up and a tip-in. Cohadarevic posted seven rebounds and led all players shooting 4-of-5 from behind the three-point arc.

equaled a career-high 15 points and added four assists and three rebounds. Michael Tyree was the only other Saints player to score in double-figures with 13 points. SCCC sophomore forward, Theron Wilson, had his streak of seven consecutive games with a double-double ended on Saturday, scoring four points with five rebounds.
Wilson
battled foul trouble during most of the game playing in only 18 minutes before fouling out at the 3:45 mark in the second-half.
Butler
had a strong effort from sophomore forward Tony Durant, who led all players with 23 points and 18 rebounds. Durant, whose brother Kevin is a freshman standout at the
University
of
Texas
, also tallied a double-double in the Saints and Grizzlies first meeting this season (20 points and 12 rebounds). Mike Garrison also played well for
Butler
scoring 17 points with six rebounds.
Ironically,
Seward
County
shot 48 percent from the field (27-for-56) and from the free throw line (11-for-23). Since 2000-01,

County
leads the overall series against
Butler
9-5, including a 4-3 record at the Power Plant.
