March 15, 2007 THERON WILSON NAMED FIRST TEAM NJCAA D-I ALL-REGION VI Theron Wilson The National Junior College Athletic Association Region VI Men’s Director announced the 2007 NJCAA D-I Region VI Men’s Basketball All-Region Teams on Thursday morning. Seward County Community College sophomore Theron Wilson was named First Team and received the sixth most votes among the Jayhawk West and Jayhawk East men’s players. Sophomore Julian Allen (Garden City C.C.) was named Region VI Most Valuable Player. The All-Region teams include 10 first team selections and five honorable mention picks. Wilson , a 6-foot-5-inch forward led the Jayhawk Conference this season in scoring and rebounding averaging 19.4 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. The Seward County sophomore had a sensational season collecting 19 double-double games and leading the Saints in scoring in 17 games and was the Saints top rebounder in 25 games this season.
