The No. 14 Seward County Community College volleyball team won their sixth straight match on Thursday night against
Laramie

Community College
30-23, 30-19, 30-22 in a non-conference match at the Wyo-Braska Shootout in
Torrington

Wyo.
The victory marked back-to-back three-game victories for the Lady Saints’ at the Wyo-Braska Shootout, also defeating
Eastern
Wyoming
College
earlier on Thursday.
Seward
County
improves to 14-4 overall and remains 4-0 in the Jayhawk West Conference.
The Lady Saints had one of their top serving matches of the season with 13 aces and only four errors in 87 attempts. Jelena Simic led all players with four aces and Katy Troutman and Dan Yang followed with three each.
In game three,
Seward
County
finished the match strong hitting .414 (15 kills, 3 errors, 29 attempts). Yang collected her ninth match this season with over 20 kills (24) and she led the team hitting .444 (24 kills, 4 errors, 45 attempts).

Mallori Proffitt
|
Freshman Mallori Proffitt had arguably her top performances of the season with five kills, a .571 hitting percentage, four blocks and a career-high 12 digs.
Simic was just one dig shy of a double-double (10 kills, nine digs), while Chelsea Myers (22 assists) and Alex Droogsma (21 assists) each averaged seven assists per game.
Against Eastern Wyoming Thursday morning, the Lady Saints were led by freshman Yang’s 20 kills, and the Region VI Player of the Week, Jelena Simic, who collected 10 kills, six digs and two blocks.The No. 14 ranked
Other leaders for the Lady Saints were Proffitt (six kills, two blocks), Droogsma (24 assists, six kills, one block), Jenna Ginest (five kills, two blocks, six digs) and Myers (22 assists, 10 digs).

will play four matches on Friday starting at 9 a.m. against

, Wyo. The Lady Saints will then play their remaining matches on Friday in
