After sweeping their competition on Thursday at the Wyo-Braska Shootout, the No. 14 ranked Lady Saints kept their winning streak alive with a victory over
Casper
College
(30-26, 23-30, 30-24, 30-28) in a non-conference match in
Torrington
,
Wyo.
Seward County has now won seven straight matches, tying the programs longest winning streak under third year head coach Bert Luallen.
Seward

entered Friday after winning both matches on Thursday against
Eastern
Wyoming
College
and
Laramie
County
Community College
.
Seward
County
improves to 15-4 overall this season.
SCCC won the first game in a narrow four point margin (30-26), and then fell 30-23 in game two.
Casper
, who received a No. 7 pre-season NJCAA Top 20 ranking, was not able to slow down the Lady Saints who finished out the match with a 30-24 victory in game three and 30-28 win in the fourth and final game.
Sophomore libero Katy Troutman led
Seward
County
defensively in the second game with 10 digs and she added five digs in the third game. Troutman recorded a season-high 23 digs and also chipped in three service aces.
Freshman Dan Yang led
Seward
County
with 26 kills and Chelsea Myers paced the Lady Saints with a team-high 25 assists. In
Seward
County
’s last six matches, Yang has recorded five matches with at least 20 kills.
Jelena Simic registered her sixth double-double of the season with 19 kills and 14 digs. The 5-foot-10-inch Simic also chipped in a team-high four service aces.
Seward County will continue Wyo-Braska Shootout competition, but will play their three remaining matches on Friday in Scottsbluff, Neb. against
Northwest
Wyoming
College
(2 p.m.), Miles Community College (4 p.m.) and No. 1 Western Nebraska Community College (8 p.m.).
